STRONG ALCOHOL WILL RISE IN PRICE IN KAZAKHSTAN
On
OCTOBER 1, 2023, the Minister of Finance signed an order dated July 4, 2023
"On the establishment of minimum retail prices for vodka and special
vodka, vodka with a protected designation of origin, strong alcoholic
beverages, cognac and brandy," reports Zakon.kz. According to the order,
the minimum retail prices in the period from July 1, 2023 to On September 30,
2023, they were established for: vodka and special vodka, vodka with a
protected appellation of origin, strong alcoholic beverages in the amount of
1,980 tenge per liter; cognac and brandy in the amount of 2,930 tenge per
liter. Note that this cost does not differ from the current prices. However,
from October 1, 2023, the minimum retail prices will be for: vodka and special
vodka, vodka with a protected name of the place of origin of the goods, strong
alcoholic beverages in the amount of 2,100 tenge per liter; cognac and brandy
in the amount of 3,110 tenge per liter.
